In a world where most ladies are so obsessed with having flawless skin, there are always new products flooding the market. The rate at which the skin is being exposed to different anti-blemish products is so alarming. Everyone is looking for something that works well for their skin. If one product fails, they jump to the next, and it’s only a matter of time before they jump to the wrong product which will take them back to where they started or worse -like they have been swallowed by the longest snake on Snakes & Ladder.

The skin’s natural ability to rejuvenate itself is not being talked about enough. We always feel we need to apply something to assist the process but what if that something is slowing it down?  Below is a list of food you can take for your skin

Oily fish e.g mackerel and sardine are rich in Omega -3 acids which have been known to reduce acne.

Dark Berries –  e.g blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries are rich in antioxidant that protects the skin. They are rich in this powerful antioxidant anthocyanin which promotes blood flow of the skin.

Lastly, we have sweet potatoes, shocking isn’t it? Yes, sweet potatoes get their beautiful orange color from beta-carotene, an important antioxidant that is converted to Vitamin A by the body. Vitamin A encourages proper skin cell formation, regulates sebum production, and helps prevent clogged pores.

Let the skin rest from all these anti-blemish products and allow the body to rejuvenate from within!
